A man was shot and wounded during a drug deal Friday in Calumet Heights on the South Side.

The 21-year-old was involved in the drug transaction at 2:11 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Stony Island Avenue when he was shot in the torso, Chicago police said.

He was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

One person was arrested in connection with the shooting, police said. Three weapons were recovered.
