A woman died after she was injured in a crash Thursday in southwest suburban Justice.

Danielle Preuss, 39, was driving a car west at 11:57 p.m. in the 8100 block of West 79th Street when she veered into oncoming traffic and hit an eastbound semi head-on, according to Justice police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Preuss and the driver of the semi were both taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.

Preuss was pronounced dead at the hospital at 12:50 a.m. Friday, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found she died of multiple injuries from the vehicle collision.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
