Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have a clear inspiration for their fourth child’s name.

On Friday, a week after the couple welcomed their baby boy via surrogate, they revealed his name: Psalm West.

Kardashian shared the news along with a photo of the little one from a text exchange she had with her husband on Mother’s Day.

”Beautiful Mother’s Day ... With the arrival of our fourth child ... we are blessed beyond measure...we have everything we need,” wrote West in the text, sharing a photo of a sleeping Psalm in his crib.

A psalm is a sacred song or poem used in worship, especially one of the biblical hymns collected in the biblical Book of Psalms.

“We don’t share it much, but we’re really religious,” Kardashian told Vogue last year. “We start our day with a group chat with a Bible verse from my mom, and everyone chimes in on the meaning of it. We are very Christian — and our work ethic and our discipline comes from so many years at Catholic school.”

West has been openly spiritual in 2019. He began a weekly, celeb-packed “Sunday Service” in January, during which he leads a choir and performs new compositions of his old hits. West sings, often standing in front of a keyboard, as the guest vocalists provide backup in gospel rearrangements of his songs.

The artist brought his “Sunday Service” to Coachella on Easter in April, where his choir remixed hymns celebrating the resurrection of Jesus with contemporary refrains, like “Back to Life” by Soul II Soul. There, he was joined by his wife, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kris Jenner and Chance the Rapper.

West and Kardashian are also the parents to North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, 1. Chicago was also born via surrogate due to Kardashian’s previous complications with pregnancy.

After Psalm’s arrival, Kardashian tweeted he looked just like one of his sisters. “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her,” she wrote.

She later added that her worries about expanding her family were unfounded. ”I was freaking out for nothing because he is the most calm and chill of all of my babies so far and everyone loves him so much,” she shared.
