Police are warning residents of three armed robberies to businesses this month in Old Town Triangle and Lincoln Park on the North Side.
In each case, a man entered the businesses and started a conversation, Chicago police said. He pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the register before taking off.
The robberies happened:
- about 1:50 a.m. May 16 in the 1600 block of North LaSalle Drive; and
- about 11:40 p.m. May 18 in the 100 block of West Division Street;
- early morning May 20 in the 1200 block of North Clybourn.
The suspect is described by police as 40 to 60 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-1 and weighing 160 pounds.
