Green Line trains were suspended between the Cottage Grove and Garfield stations due to a fire near the tracks.

Trains were suspended about 5:30 a.m., operating only between the Ashland/63rd and Harlem stations, according to an alert from the Chicago Transit Authority.

They were back to normal service with residual delays about 20 minutes later.
