A man was killed Sunday when he was shot in East Garfield Park on the West Side.

Justin Denelle Wilson, 30, was walking about 10:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Ridgeway Avenue when several males walked up to him and fired shots, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was hit multiple times, including in the face and body, and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m., authorities said. He lived in Englewood.

An autopsy Monday ruled Wilson’s death a homicide by multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
