Man wounded in Near North Side shooting: police

The 28-year-old was approached by a group of five males Saturday in the 400 block of North State Street.

The 13-year-old was shot in the abdomen.
His condition was stabilized at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot Saturday in the Near North Side.

About 1:45 a.m., five males approached him in the 400 block of North State Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago police. One of them took out a handgun and shot him in the leg.

The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

He refused to give officials further information, police said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
