Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or important decisions from 2:30 p.m. Chicago time for the rest of the day. The moon is in Scorpio.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Be patient with family members because you might be doing a slow boil about something. Parents or older relatives might lay down the law or resist your ideas. Do not try shopping therapy in the afternoon. (See Moon Alert.) Restrict spending to food, gas and entertainment.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

You might be unhappy about something, but feel you can’t speak up, especially if you’re dealing with relatives, siblings and neighbors. Whatever you choose to do or suggest seems to meet with objections or obstacles. Stay chill.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Don’t push money deals or financial negotiations because this will only bring about a squeeze play or increase opposition to you. Furthermore, check the restrictions of the Moon Alert when it comes to shopping. Stay chill because tomorrow is a much easier day!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

This is a challenging day because Mars is in your sign, and Mars makes you aggressive and ready to go after what you want. Meanwhile, Saturn is opposing Mars, which makes you feel irritable or dispirited. Fortunately, this is short-lived. Tomorrow is completely different. (Whew!)

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You might feel irritated about something, but feel you can’t speak up. This is so frustrating, what can you do? It’s as if you’re caught between a rock and a hard space. Be patient because tomorrow is different. Tomorrow offers different options and different opportunities.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Relations with a friend or members of a group are a bit testy. Perhaps you can’t get what you want, and they can’t get what they want, which means there’s a standoff. (The Gunfight at the OK Corral!) Just work with what you’ve got and do what is possible. Tomorrow is easier.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Today is a poor day to ask for permission or approval from parents, bosses and authority figures because their response will be, “Talk to the hand.” Knowing this ahead of time, choose your timing. Happily, tomorrow is a much better day.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

This is a poor day for discussions about sensitive subjects like racial issues, politics and religion because people have a lot of pent-up feelings. They are easily irritated and defensive. This is not a healthy environment for a difficult discussion. Therefore, keep things light!

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

This is a poor day for important discussions about finances, shared property or the wealth of your partner. It’s a poor day to discuss how to share responsibilities or deal with the division of labor or how to divide expenses. Because people are uptight, wait until tomorrow or Monday.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

You will have to use all your charm and communication skills to keep things smooth when dealing with others, especially partners and close friends. It’s not just you. Everyone is mildly irritable, which is why a smile and a friendly approach will make a big difference.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Be patient with co-workers and, hopefully, they will be patient with you. Today’s the kind of day where obstacles and little things seem to get in the way and wear us down. Fortunately, this is a temporary situation because tomorrow is a better day!

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Children might be an increased responsibility. Even social occasions can feel like they’re more trouble than they’re worth. Nevertheless, you can be reassured by the fact that everyone is being tested, not just you. Be patient and keep smiling.
