Woman killed in Maywood crash

A 40-year-old woman was killed in a crash Sunday in west suburban Maywood.

Ruth L. Johnson was involved in the crash about 10:50 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

She was taken to Loyola University Medical Center, where she died about an hour later, authorities said.

An autopsy found that Johnson, who lived in Maywood, died of multiple injuries from the crash, the medical examiner’s office said.

Maywood police did not immediately reply to a request for further information.
