A crash on I-55 near southwest suburban Friday Bolingbrook is snaring traffic for the second time.

About 7 a.m., a garbage truck and a semitruck were involved in a collision in the southbound lanes of I-55 just north of Route 53, Illinois State Police said.

As of 10 a.m., state police said traffic is getting through in the left lane and the others are expected to reopen shortly. One person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Lanes were blocked on I-55 for several hours earlier after a fatal crash that involved a state trooper.
