Now’s as good a time as any to join Korean pop juggernaut BTS’ army, as they drop English language crossovers left and right.
BTS unleashed its latest single, “Dream Glow,” featuring British pop talent Charli XCX Friday — a mid-tempo anthem, sung in both English and Korean, about pursuing dreams despite the trials that may come along the way.
“Sometimes my dreams come true / Sometimes they turn to blue,” sings Charli on the chorus.
“Keep it shining, make it brighter than a spotlight,” sings Jungkook, one of the three BTS boys featured on the track, along with Jimin and Jin.
The track is produced by heavyweight Norwegian duo Stargate, who have lent a hand to tracks by Beyoncé, Rihanna, Sam Smith, Sia and Selena Gomez.
BTS plans to launch a video game, also titled “Dream Glow,” that finds its players managing the boy band. The titular single is the first track to be released from its official soundtrack, which will come out alongside the mobile game on June 26.
”Dream Glow” follows a big year for BTS. They nabbed their first Billboard Top 10 single, the Halsey-featuring “Boy With Luv,” and dropped the “Map of the Soul: Persona” EP. They were also the first K-Pop group to make it on “Saturday Night Live.”
