Apartments burglarized in Bronzeville

Three apartments were burglarized in May and June in Bronzeville.

Police are warning Bronzeville residents to repair broken windows and doors immediately following three reported burglaries in recent weeks.

In each incident, the burglar entered the apartment through the front door and took property, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The incidents happened:

  • May 23 in the 4200 block of South Martin Luther King Drive Boulevard;
  • May 31 in the 100 block of East 37th Street; and
  • on Tuesday in the 400 block of East 41st Street.

The burglaries happened at different times of the day, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8384.
