A man was hospitalized with a broken hip after a crash Thursday in the Loop.

An Audi was heading east on Lower Wacker Drive at 3:54 a.m. when it hit a westbound Nissan that was turning left onto southbound Garvey Court, according to Chicago police.

Both cars had green lights, but the Nissan apparently disobeyed a “left turn on signal only” sign, police said.

The 28-year-old man driving the Nissan was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a broken hip, police said. His condition was stabilized.

Four other men – the 24-year-old driver of the Audi, his passenger and two passengers from the Nissan – were all taken to Northwestern for observation, but were not injured, according to police.

Citations are pending against the 28-year-old for disobeying a traffic signal and failure to yield, police said.
