A vehicle was hit by a freight train Thursday in west suburban Elmhurst.

The crash happened about 7:15 a.m. on the Canadian National tracks at York Street south of Vallette Street, according to Elmhurst police.

Vallette was blocked in both directions at the tracks, police said. Southbound traffic on York was blocked at Vallette. All roads were reopened as of 11:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported, according to police.
