Vehicle thefts reported in West Garfield Park: police

Chicago police are warning West Garfield Park residents of four vehicle thefts reported in July and August.

In each incident the the offender targeted Chevrolet vehicles manufactured between 2003 and 2007, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened:

  • Between July 7 and 9 in the first block of North Hamlin Boulevard;
  • Between July 13 and 14 in the 3800 block of West Maypole Avenue;
  • Between July 15 and 16 in the 4000 block of West Monroe Street; and
  • Between July 31 and August 1 in the first block of North Hamlin Boulevard.

All incidents happened in the overnight hours, police said.
