People in stopped car robbed by armed men in Naperville: police

Two men approached the Jeep in the area of Whispering Hills and Jefferson Avenue on Sunday and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Several people were robbed while sitting in a parked car Sunday in west suburban Naperville.

Officers were called about 12:50 p.m. to the area of Whispering Hills Drive and Jefferson Avenue for reports of an armed robbery, Naperville police said.

Investigators found two males approached a stopped silver-colored Jeep, and one displayed a handgun before taking money from the passengers, police said. It isn’t known how much money was stolen.

One male is described at 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 with hazel eyes, wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. The other is 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3 and was wearing dark pants. Both ran off westbound to the rear of 1505 West Jefferson.
