The annual tradition continues: the Twitter preview. Coaches, please send your info via DM (@mikeclarkpreps) or email (mikeclarkpreps@gmail.com). We need your top players (with heights, weights, stats), team outlook, story ideas, your cell number and team Twitter handle. Thanks.

Bolingbrook (7-3): Junior safety Justin Walters (6-2, 170) is one of the nation’s best in his class and has multiple Power Five offers. Senior dual-threat QB Devyn Suggs (6-4, 190) has offers from Ball State among others.

Brother Rice (13-1): 17 starters gone from 8A runner-up, but still plenty of playmakers. Denver Warren (6-2, 310), Justin Jefferson (5-11, 240) are state’s top DL duo. DB Giacomo Iraci (W. Michigan commit), RB Willie Shaw also are D1 talents.

Cary-Grove (14-0): Reigning 6A champs return 11 starters, including 8 on defense. FB/DB Blake Skol (1,460 rush yds, 21 TDs) leads offense. Lines are young other than OL Evan Hissong, DLs Nathan Gamez, Mitchel Dec. LB Johnny Gagliano an impact player. Expect sophs to contribute.

Chicago Christian (7-4): Numbers up in wake of first playoff berth in 10 years. RB/DB Ryley Bulthuis, OL/LB AJ Kuipers, TE/LB Ty Sperling, OL/DL Otto VanDellen, OL/DL Hunter Sperling are all returning two-way starters. QB Danny Bulthuis back from torn ACL.

Clemente (6-4): Wildcats coming off first IHSA playoff brrth in 23 years. Young team will be led by Jhamont’e McDonald and David Santiago on defense, and RB Gabriel Corona on offense. Good size on OL.

Collins (8-2): Six two-way starters graduated from Warriors’ first IHSA playoff qualifier since 2010. Keep an eye on CB/WR Darius Jackson, TE/OL/P Marquell Washington, QB/FS Demond Powell, QB/SS Jaylin Jordan, OT/DT Darrin Carter.

Crane (8-0): Intra-City 1 champs move up to Chicago State St. Seniors Craig Lewis (C/DE), Elisha Perkins (4 sacks) are 4-year starters. Junior QB Robert Powers, senior Donald Lee Jr. (11 TDs) are others to watch.

Crystal Lake South (6-5): Miami (Ohio) commit Dominic Collado (6-4, 300) is a 4-year starter on OL. All-conference QB Ian Gorken is a 3-year starter. DL Jason Burburija leads the defense.

Curie (4-7): Ex-Foreman coach Peter Grazzini takes over. LT Kevo Wesley (Vanderbilt) is an elite lineman. Also back: WR/DB Rakeem Hinton, QB Damarius Jones, WR Jaylen Brooks, LB Decari Randle, SS DeAngelo Burns. Watch St. Rita transfer Tristan Wright.

De La Salle (8-5): Meteors coming off winningest season since ‘09. Avoiding injury will be key. Top vets include TE Matt Byrnes (6-5, 220), DE Jamari Johnson (6-3, 225), RB/LB Jason Moore, LB Aidan Ralph. Watch OL/DL David Ortiz (6-2, 255), DB Taron Dabney, DB Fred Meriweather.

DePaul Prep (0-10): New coach Mike Passarella will build around OL/DL Willy Lopez (6-1, 250), WR/S Mikey Flynn (309 total yards), QB Zach Burhans (525 yards, 4 TDs).

DuSable (1-8): Ex-Chicago Tech and Douglass coach Andrew Frierson takes over, aims to compete for Chicago Lake St. title. Watch QB/DB Jaborn Washington, WR/DBs Dontrell Reed, Chris Patterson, Ryan Hutchinson, Brandell Leonard, Kevonne Cornell, Daykwon Griffin.

Eisenhower (4-5): New coach Sheamus Murphy comes off successful startup at Back of the Yards. Dual-threat QB Daniel McLaurin (5-11, 200) had 1,800+ total yards. Also watch OL Andrew Manrique (5-11, 265), DB Keijaun Belcher.

Fenwick (3-6): Eight starters back for Friars. Keep an eye on OL/DL Sean Carpenter (6-5, 275), K/P Bryan Dowd, LB Bryce Legan (6-2, 215), soph QB Kaden Cobb (6-3, 180). Tough sked includes two defending state champs (Nazareth, JCA).

Foreman (1-8): Ex-Clemente asst. Conell Haynes takes over, expects to compete for Chicago Madison St. title. QB/DE Reginald Cochran (6-2, 230), HB/MLB Fabian Gomez, HB/LB Erick Ichich lead the way. Sophs Alex White (WR/S), Tamon Easterling (NG/TE) should help.

Hansberry (2-5): Victor Winselle takes over as Bengals move up from Intra-City to Chicago Michigan Ave. Players to watch include WR Quinton Davidson, (10 TDs), OT/DT Leroy Barnes (5-8, 315), S/CB Daquan Pennington.

Homewood-Flossmoor (10-2): 13 starters back, including four D1 commits: OL Marcus Harper (Oregon), OL Denzel Bryant (Delaware St.), DB LaVoise McCoy (Illinois St.), DB Kasyus Kurns (SE Missouri). Also back: QB Dominick Jones (2,794 yds, 30 TDs last 2 years), WR Will Pauling (676 yds, 5 TDs).

Joliet Catholic (10-4): 3-star RB Kenyetta Williams (5-11, 185) returns for 5A champs after missing ‘18 with injury. Also back: OL/DL Conor Kovas (6-2, 285), LB Joey Bueno, DL/TE Mac O’Connell (5-11, 235), DB Jabril Williams.

Lincoln-Way Central (6-4): 11 starters back, including eight on offense: OLs Jake Leggero (6-1, 255), Rikki Dobson (6-5, 295), Collin Bockover (5-10, 205), Keith Kaminski (6-2, 220); RBs Danny Reyna, Henry Woods; TE Colin Shanahan; WR Nolan Recker.

McHenry (2-7): DE Kevin Sandoval, QB Chris Ziemba, LB Paul Zunkel lead Warriors, who are seeking first playoff berth since 2015. 10 starters back, and will be bolstered by addition of players from 8-1 frosh-soph team.

Marian Catholic (1-8): 13 starters back (9 on offense) as Spartans aim to end 68-game league losing streak. RB Tajheem Lawson, DB Joshua Coats, WR/DE Justin Stallworth have D1 interest. Depth could be an issue with around 40 varsity players.

Montini (12-2): 5A runner-up returns 12 starters, six on each side of ball. Seniors to watch include QB Deontay Bell, OT Jeremiah Banks-Wall, WR Nate Muersch, RB/WR CJ Bufkin, DT Patrick Peters, DT Cam Richardson.

Niles North (2-7): Vikings return 14 starters, including 10 on offense. Sophs QB Chris Bland, RB Giovanni Milam-Pryor started as freshmen. Jordan Jackson (29 tackles) starts both ways. LB Matthew Artajo (31 tackles) also back on defense.

Prairie Ridge (8-3): 16 starters back, including 8 from an offense that averaged 35 ppg, scored 50 rushing TDs. OT Riley Smith (6-4, 270), OG Nick Mattran (5-10, 300), OG Ryan Pearson (6-2, 265) provide size up front. FB Carter Evans has 2 MAC offers, Connor Lydon back at QB.

Providence (5-5): 16 starters back, including OL Jake Renfro (6-3, 300, Cincy commit), TE/DE Jameson Geers (6-5, 230, multiple D1 offers), RB Aaron Vaughn, QB Kevin Conway. OL is experienced, WR group is deep. Expect big things from the Celtics.

Richards (12-1): 6A semifinalists are talented, experienced with 14 starters back. RB Leshon Williams is Iowa commit. OL Jalen Lee (6-4, 280), DL Andre Jefferson have D1 interest. All-conference WR Javon Robinson moves to QB.

St. Laurence (4-7): Vikings eye a return to IHSA playoffs under new coach Adam Nissen. RB Nate Thomas, WR Brandon Wilson, RB Brailyn Johnson lead offense. Watch DL Myron Lewis, LB Sean Harrison, DE Van Williams on defense.

St. Rita (7-6): Speedy soph WR/RB Kaleb Brown (Illinois, Iowa, Kansas) and junior WR Henry Wilson (BC) have Power 5 offers for defending Prep Bowl champs. OL is young. Defense returns 4 starters, including DEs Justin Darwin and Michael Milton.

Shepard (8-3): Big changes in store with 11 new starters on offense, new offensive and defensive coordinators. WR/S Elijah Vinson, LB/RB Matthew Hightower getting college looks. TE/LB Grant Larkins, RB/LB Zac Robinson, WR/DB Andrew Wright, WR/DB Jalen Smith also back.

Taft (7-6): Hopes are high for defending Prep Bowl runner-up with new on-campus field. Playmakers include Dexter Stigall IV (6-2, 210), Demetri Georgopoulos (6-2, 275), Roberto Salgado, Daniel Loch (6-5, 190), Justin Gniedziejko.

TF South (6-4): Senior LB Michael Smith getting D1 looks, on track to set school career record for solo tackles. Senior TB Jamarrion Gaines has 10.7 100 speed, is back after missing last 4 games of ‘18 with broken fibula. WR/DB Shawn Wilson another gamechanger.

Tinley Park (4-5): Titans lost 3 games by 7 or fewer pts in ‘18. Good experience on offense: QB Joe Mackessy, RB Jojairo Gallegos, WR Johnny Gonsalves, DL/OL Pete McMahon, OL Gage Glass, WR/RB Ahmiale Hughes. WR/LB Christian Law is St. Rita transfer.

Vernon Hills (3-6): 8 starters back on defense: DBs Gio Zullo, Dan Shin; DLs Brad Gothelf, Vito Accettura; LBs Justin Morris, Ryan Mann, Jackson Wiegold, Josh Ludolph. Mann (RB/WR), Zullo (WR), Gothelf (OL) start 2 ways.

West Aurora (9-2): Blackhawks eye 5th straight playoff berth, move to SW Prairie. NIU commit Matt Johnson (6-4, 220, 6.5 sacks) anchors DL. 3rd-year starting QB Will Tammaru (1,637 yds, 13 TDs), WR Logan Mont a good pass/catch combo.

Young (8-0): New coach Dan Finger expects 1st IHSA playoff berth since ‘15. Dolphins will rely on 2-way players like LB/WR Amir Abdullah (4 TDs, 86 tackles), DB/RB Casey Coates (9 TDs), Will Stockard (42 tackles), OL/DL Daniel Belk (52 tackles, 2 fum rec TDs).
