Two police officers were hurt in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday in Garfield Park on the West Side. 

They were responding to a call of shots fired about 7:52 p.m. when their marked squad car struck a tree in the 100 block of North Homan, Chicago police said.  

Both officers were taken to an area hospital where their conditions were stabilized, police said.
