A motorcyclist who died in a crash Wednesday in the west suburbs was not wearing a helmet, police said.

Radenovic Radisav, 47, was riding a Harley-Davidson on a ramp from eastbound I-290 to southbound I-294 when he lost control and crashed off the roadway, Illinois State Police said in a statement.

He was ejected from the motorcycle about 10:18p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene, state police said. The ramp was closed for over two hours as police investigated.

State police said Radisav, who lived in Okeechobee, Florida, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The investigation was ongoing, state police said.
