Authorities responded to a boat fire Monday in Burnham Harbor near the South Loop.

Crews were called about 1 p.m. for reports of a small fire on a boat in the 1500 block of South Linn White Drive, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.

Firefighters responded with hand pumps and were expected to put the fire out shortly, Langford said. No injuries were reported.

It was not clear where on the boat the fire broke out or how it started, Langford said.
