A 61-year-old man missing from the Near West Side since September was found dead.

Donald Smith was last seen Sept. 29, 2019, Chicago police said.

Police canceled his missing person alert Tuesday, saying he was found deceased. He died of natural causes. Police didn’t say when or where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details about his death.
