A teenage girl was struck by a vehicle Monday while running to catch a bus near Midway International Airport.

The 14-year-old ran into traffic near the intersection of Cicero Avenue and 63rd Street in the Cleering neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

A driver with a green light struck the girl about 6:20 a.m., police said.

The girl was taken in serious condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, according to the Chicago Fire Department. Police said her condition had stabilized.
