Bronzeville thefts: Packages stolen from apartment buildings, Chicago police say

In each incident, an unknown person took packages after they had been delivered to an apartment building, police said.

A man who was shot in July in Markham died from his injuries Dec. 14, 2020. — Four apartment buildings had packages stolen from them in December 2019 in Bronzeville on the South Side.

Chicago police are warning residents of four thefts reported in December in Bronzeville on the South Side.

In each incident, an unknown person took packages after they had been delivered to an apartment building, according to a community alert from Chicago police.

The thefts happened during the afternoon hours:

Dec. 24 in the 4300 block of South Indiana Avenue;
Dec. 26 in the 4700 block of South Indiana Avenue;
Dec. 30 in the 4500 block of South Prairie Avenue; and
Dec. 30 in the 4400 block of South Indiana Avenue.
