Derrick Rose is coming home. At least for a weekend.

The Athletic reported that Rose intends to participate in the NBA All-Star Weekend skills competition.

Rose, a Chicago native who currently plays for the Pistons, played seven seasons for the Bulls, willing Rookie of the Year and MVP during his time at the United Center.

Rose missed the 2012-13 season with an ACL injury, has been plagued with health issues throughout his career.

He is averaging 17.3 points this season in Detroit.
