A 26-year-old man died in a crash Sunday on the Indiana Toll Road in northwest Indiana.

Adontis Hoskins was driving west about 7:45 a.m. when, for an unknown reason, he drove his 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier into the median wall near mile marker 7.1, Indiana State Police and the Lake County, Indiana, coroner’s office said.

The car veered back across all lanes of traffic and then hit the guardrail, where it flipped over, state police said.

Hoskins was thrown from the car and taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago, where he died, officials said.

Hoskins lived in Gresham on the South Side of Chicago, according to the coroner’s office.
