Man fatally shot in Riverdale

Nicholas Dukes was shot multiple times in the 14500 block of South Halsted Street, authorities say.

A 31-year-old Indiana man was fatally shot Monday in south suburban Riverdale.

Nicholas Dukes was shot multiple times about 4:25 p.m. in the 14500 block of South Halsted Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Dukes, of Merrillville, Indiana, was pronounced dead about 20 minutes after the shooting, the medical examiner’s office said.

Riverdale police did not immediately reply to a request for additional details.
