A 62-year-old man injured in a September vehicle crash in Gary, Indiana, has died of his injuries.

The crash occurred about 4:20 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 4900 block of Broadway Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jon Derbigny, of Chicago, was pronounced dead about 6 a.m Tuesday due to complications from a cervical spine injury sustained in the crash, the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy released Wednesday ruled his death an accident.
