A man was killed in a shooting last week in west suburban Maywood.

Jerrell Hughes, 25, was shot about 11:45 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 1400 block of South 17th Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 4:40 a.m. the next day at Loyola University Medical Center, the medical examiner’s office said.

Autopsy results released Wednesday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Maywood.

Maywood police did not immediately respond to a request for details.
