Woman shot in the head in Hermosa

The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital where she was stabilized, police said.

A 20-year-old woman was shot Saturday in Hermosa on the Northwest Side.

She was in the 1900 block of North Keeler Avenue about 2:20 p.m. when an unknown person shot her in the head, Chicago police said.

She was rushed to Stroger Hospital where she was stabilized, police said.

Area North detectives are investigating.
