A man was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday in west suburban Hanover Park.

The crash happened about 11:20 p.m. near Irving Park Road and East Avenue, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Chetankumar Patel, 46, was pronounced dead about 11:50 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled his death an accident. He lived in Streamwood.

Hanover Park police didn’t immediately respond to a request for details about the crash.
