Moon Alert

After 7 a.m. Chicago time, we have the all clear to shop and do business. The moon is in Cancer.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You might be frustrated dealing with a friend, or a group or an organization because whatever your mandate is, or whatever you want to push through or attain will be blocked by someone. This will be frustrating for you.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

This is not a good day to ask bosses, parents, teachers, VIPs or the police for permission, or a favor, or any kind of leeway about anything. Their response will be, “Talk to the hand!” (Gulp) Today is full of obstacles, difficulties and big speed bumps.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Avoid controversial subjects because they will become fierce arguments because people are entrenched in their views and not willing to listen to another side. You might encounter this same difficult opposition when dealing with publishing, the media, medicine and the law. It’s tough!

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

If someone owes you money, this is not the day to try to get it. It will be difficult to collect favors and obligations from others as well as cash and items. Discussions about shared property will be difficult as well.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Relations with partners and close friends are difficult. Someone might go out of their way to make life difficult for you or they might simply be uncooperative. More likely, you will encounter people who actually block what you want to do. Bummer!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

This is a tough day at work. This could pertain to your job or to any task that you set for yourself today, but whatever you do, it’s as if you are caught between a rock and a hard place. Life is hard. Don’t be discouraged because — hey — we all have days like this. Right?

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Children will be an increased responsibility. Perhaps you have difficulty dealing with your kids? Perhaps their demands are more challenging? Something you might usually enjoy doing now seems to be a chore. (“Why am I doing this?”)

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Relations with family members will be difficult today. You feel like you’re caught in the movie Bad Day at Black Rock. Whatever you try to do at home will meet with difficulties; this includes relating to family members. Keep your head down and your powder dry.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You’re keen to communicate to others. You cannot run errands and take short trips, which is frustrating; and yet, whatever you do today, you seem to encounter obstacles. (Like what’s with that?) Delays, refusals and shortages dog your footsteps today. Courage — tomorrow is a better day.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

This is a poor day for business and commerce because financial matters are frozen, difficult or disappointing. “It went through the floor!” Cope as best you can and postpone important decisions until tomorrow, which is an easier day.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Today is full of frustrations and irritating occurrences. For starters, your energy is flagging. This is why it’s best to stick with routine activities. Refrain from being angry at others, even if you are seething in silence. Can you blow off some steam by working with metals?

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Something going on behind the scenes will really get your goat today. “They did that?” With Mercury in your sign now, you won’t hesitate to voice your displeasure. Nevertheless, think about your long-term objectives. What are your ultimate goals? Keep them in mind before you sound off to anyone.

If Your Birthday Is Today

Actor Ewan McGregor (1971) shares your birthday. You have a strong personality and are charismatic, which is why you can charm everyone! You like travel and stimulation. This will be more relaxed. Because your interactions will be important, do your best to cooperate. Look for ways to be kind and helpful. Be open to engaging with others because business and personal relationships will benefit you.
