Ernesto Alverio, a 74-year-old man who was reported missing Monday from Humboldt Park on the West Side, has been found safe, Chicago police said.

Police canceled the alert Friday.

Authorities suspect the woman was the victim of a homicide. Her body was found early Wednesday by the side of a road in Old Mill Creek.
