A 15-year-old boy was shot Tuesday in Englewood on the South Side.

He was on the sidewalk about 3 p.m. in the 700 block of West 61st Place when a vehicle drove up and someone inside unleashed gunfire, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the thigh and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition, police said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
