Moon Alert

Avoid shopping or making important decisions after 8 p.m. Chicago time. The moon is in Cancer.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

Tread carefully with family members and people where you live because intense feelings will make people say things that they might regret. Fortunately, it’s a mixed bag. Later, good feelings will soften what was previously said.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Today you must think before you speak, because you will be so passionate about something that you will blurt out what you think without hesitation. Maybe this will be OK, maybe it won’t? Fortunately, you will get a second chance — a reprieve, if you will— to make good.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Financial squabbles might arise. This could be because you’re obsessed about something. Perhaps you really want to buy something? Perhaps you think you deserve more money? Fortunately, on the heels of this dispute, some kind of pleasant resolution will take place.

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

Today the moon is in your sign and first, it opposes Pluto (yikes! And then, it opposes Jupiter. This is why you might have an ego battle with a friend or partner; but then later, everything will be patched up. Anything nasty will be forgotten. (Whew!) Close call.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

You might be upset about something initially. It could be a secret that is suddenly public or someone might be indiscreet. (You are always a funny combo of public/private.) Fortunately, a bit later, you won’t mind; and you’ll have a warm feeling in your tummy.

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

A friend might come on pretty heavy trying to convince you about something, or vice versa, you might try to coerce someone into agreeing with you. Lighten up. Butting heads with someone today will not benefit you. Be nice because later in the day, all will be well.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Tread carefully if you are at odds with a parent, boss or the police today because this might well occur. For your own benefit, don’t make a big deal about anything because people are testy and intense! If you let this pass, everything will end very well.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Intense discussions, especially about politics, religion and racial issues might erupt today. If so, they could be nasty. Steer clear of these if you can. (You don’t need the aggro.) Later in the day, you will be positive about life. Who knew?

Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

You might encounter an argument with someone about shared property, a disputed inheritance or how to divide or share something. It could be nasty. You have to ask yourself. “Is this worth it?” Why not pick a better day to discuss these matters when feelings are not running so high? Be smart.

Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Avoid arguments with partners and close friends today. Let’s face it, you have a choice. It always takes two people to have a fight. Just decide not to participate. Later in the day, things will suddenly turn mellow, and you’ll be glad you made the graceful choice.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Discussions at work or perhaps discussions related to a pet or your health might become intense. Naturally, these are personal issues for you, so you are not going to want to back down. But what do you achieve by being obstinate? Nothing. Relax. Easy does it.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Parents need to be patient with their kids today to avoid hissy fits and meltdowns. (Believe me.) Avoid power struggles. Don’t even go there. Let certain issues pass because later in the day, all will be happy and fine. That’s a promise.
