A 74-year-old man was killed in a crash Tuesday in an unincorporated area near suburban Glenview.

James McCann was involved in a crash at 11 a.m. in the 300 block of Michael Manor, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was pronounced dead at 1:38 p.m. at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in Glenview.

Autopsy results released Tuesday found he died of multiple injuries from a motor vehicle striking a fixed object and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

The Cook County sheriff’s office didn’t immediately respond to a request for details on the crash.
