Police are investigating a crash that killed a 15-year-old bicyclist last week in Woodridge.

The teen was struck by a vehicle at 8:25 p.m. June 19 while trying to cross the road in the 1500 block of West 75th Street, Woodridge police said in a statement. The crash involved multiple vehicle, and happened near the Lost Mountain Adventure mini golf course, police said.

The teen was identified as Evan Melau, according to DuPage County Coroner Richard Jorgensen. A preliminary autopsy found he died of blunt force injuries.

Police said the crash was not a hit-and-run, but did not announce citations or charges.

An investigation is ongoing.
