Major League Baseball released its 2021 schedule on Thursday, two weeks before the 2020 season is expected to begin.

The season will begin Thursday April 1 with all 30 teams taking the field. The Cubs will be at home against the Pirates and the White Sox will start in Los Angeles against the Angels. The Sox’ home opener will be Thursday, April 8 against the Royals.

The Crosstown Classic games will be Aug. 6-8 at Wrigley Field and Aug. 27-29 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Interleague matchups will be the same as this year: AL Central vs. NL Central; AL East vs. NL East; and AL West vs. NL West.

The All-Star Game will be July 13 in Atlanta. Oct. 3 will be the final day of the regular season with the Sox at home against the Tigers and the Cubs in St. Louis vs. the Cardinals.

The Yankees will play the Mets at Citi Field on Sept. 11 as MLB commemorates the 20th anniversary of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks.
