Chicago native and NBA champion Dwyane Wade will host and executive produce an American version of the British game show “The Cube.”

“As a former athlete, I enjoy competition and I appreciate the skill set needed to compete in high-tension and fast-paced environments,” Wade said.

According to a press release from WarnerMedia, the show will feature pairs of contestants who must attempt seemingly simple physical tasks while within a glass box. The 10-episode, 60-minute series is expected to premiere next year. WarnerMedia hasn’t announced which of its channels will carry the show.
