Lisseth Chavez, who played intelligence unit newcomer Vanessa Rojas last season on “Chicago P.D.,” will be chasing aliens from here on.

NBC confirms that Chavez has left the long-running, locally based police drama to join “Legends of Tomorrow.” The actress retweeted several news articles confirming the move.

On Season Six of the CW sci-fi series, she’ll play Spooner Cruz, a tech whiz convinced she can communicate telepathically with extraterrestrials. “Legends of Tomorrow” is based on DC Comics characters.

Rojas made her mark quickly on “Chicago P.D.,” moving in as roommate to Tracy Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) and exciting fans as a potential love interest for Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins).

The eighth season of “Chicago P.D.” is scheduled to premiere Nov. 11 on NBC, and production reportedly will resume in early October.
