Driver killed in Back of the Yards crash

The crash happened Sunday in the 900 block of West Garfield Boulevard, officials said.

A woman was killed in a crash Sunday in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

She was driving about 5 a.m. in the 900 block of West Garfield Boulevard when she was involved in a crash, Chicago police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Though her identity has not been released, an autopsy found she died of multiple injuries from the collision and ruled her death an accident, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Chicago police’s Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
