A man injured in a hit-and-run accident earlier this month in Lawndale has died. 

Andre Lawrence, 49, was pronounced dead at 2:20 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. 

An autopsy found he died of blunt force injuries to his head, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled accidental.

On April 8, he was standing near the road in the 3800 block of West Harrison Street about 9:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, Chicago police said.

Lawrence was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition at the time, officials said. 

No arrests have been made.
