Capt. Daryl Szyska received a call from a client, an ICU nurse, about taking out a stage 4 cancer patient.

“I could not , would not, say no, so we are taking him out of Waukegan for cohos and lakers on Saturday, hopefully we find the small kings mixed in,” Szyska messaged last week.

John Johnson and his party went out of Waukegan on Saturday.

Oh they did even better than the usual mix of coho and lake trout caught this time of year.

Try a 19-pound Chinook (king) to top off the trip.
