Naperville man killed in motorcycle crash in Lisle

A motorcyclist died after crashing into a turning vehicle Wednesday evening in west suburban Lisle.

He was identified as 55-year-old Thomas Martino of Naperville, according to the DuPage County coroner’s office.

The motorcyclist was westbound on Maple Avenue at 8:15 p.m. and struck a vehicle turning from Spring Bay Drive onto Maple, Lisle police said in a statement.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a hospital with injuries and was expected to survive, police said.

No citations or charges have been filed in the ongoing investigation, according to Lisle Police Deputy Chief Kevin Licko.
