A boy was found fatally shot behind a laundromat Saturday in suburban Joliet, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a person down about 4:55 a.m. behind the Blue Kangaroo Laundromat, 606 E. Cass St., and found the male juvenile with gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen, Joliet police said.

The boy, of an unknown age, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Will County coroner’s office, police said.
