Authorities identify Woman found dead in car in Lake View, shot multiple times

Authorities have identified a woman found in a car in Lake View on the North Side Tuesday afternoon.

Kendra Gardner, 41, was found about 4:20 p.m. with “some injury to her neck” in the front seat of the car parked in the 3000 block of North Clifton Avenue, according to Chicago police. 

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

An autopsy released Wednesday found Gardner suffered multiple gunshot wounds and ruled her death a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Area Three detectives were conducting a death investigation.
