Two people were wounded in a shooting on the Eisenhower Expressway near West Garfield Park Monday night.

Emergency crews responded to the westbound lanes at Kostner Avenue about 10:30 p.m., Illinois State Police said.

Two people, the front and rear passengers, had been struck by gunfire and were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, state police said. The driver was not injured.

All lanes of traffic were closed and traffic diverted to Independence Avenue until about 3:45 a.m.
