The man’s condition was stabilized at Mount Sinai Hospital, Chicago police said.

The burglar hit homes with unlocked front doors in Sheridan Park and Ravenswood.
The clerk tried to stop three males who were shoplifting, Chicago police said.
The boy was at a relative’s home when a dog attacked him, police said. A female relative fatally shot the dog, but the boy was badly injured.
In the four incidents reported, the burglar gained entry into the homes by force and left with stolen property, Chicago police said.
The teenager and the 18-year-old were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition, where the teen was pronounced dead.
After taking property in each home, the burglar fled the scene, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
Authorities were able to identify Nicholas Bower using surveillance footage. He was subsequently arrested at a residence in DeKalb.
The thief is grabbing phones out of hands and picking them out of pockets and open purses, Chicago police said.
