The Bears transferred receiver Marquess Wilson to the 53-man roster Friday, a precursor to his return to game play Sunday against the Vikings.

The second-year receiver has been out since training camp with a right clavicle injury. The Bears cut veteran Santonio Holmes earlier this week, and the team’s third receiver,is questionable with a shoulder injury.

“I think we saw it out there, and we saw it in the spring,” coach Marc Trestman said of Wilson. “He was ascending, was learning the offense, was involved in making plays out there for us. And we were excited about it. him being up now, we’re optimistic that he’ll be in position to help us.”

Right tackle Jordan Mills was listed as doubtful because of the ribs injury he suffered Sunday in Green Bay. If he doesn’t play, Brian de la Puente will play guard, with Michael Ola at right tackle.

Defensive end Trevor Scott, linebacker Darryl Sharpton and tackle Eben Britton were all ruled out.
