On Dec. 2, 1985, the Bears suffered their only defeat of the season, a 38-24 loss to the Dolphins on Monday Night Football.

It’s considered by many to be one of the greatest Monday Night Football games ever played. Led by Buddy Ryan, Chicago’s defense entered the game having allowed 10 points or fewer in nine of its first 12 games and hadn’t allowed a touchdown in 13 quarters.

That all changed when Chicago faced the Dan Marino-led Dolphins.
