Former Cowboys defensive end Marcus Spears had some harsh words for Ray McDonald and the NFL regarding the recent arrest of McDonald on domestic violence charges.

Appearing on ESPN’s “His & Hers,” Spears said it’s “time to go” for McDonald because he’s been around too many of these situations.

Spears also blamed the NFL for not doing enough.

“The NFL is about wins and losses,” Spears said. “Let’s figure out how we can get a guy in our organization, regardless of his past, to help us win.”

Spears, who played nine seasons, went on to say about the NFL: “They never work on the man. As much as [they] want to talk about—we have psychologists, we have guys to come talk to these guys, teach these classes—it should be demanded anyway.”

Strong stuff.
